"I loved it. It was very courageous of you to open up a lot of personal experiences in a book. I don’t think I’d ever have that much courage."
"Omg…I cannot believe what I am reading. Obviously, I never knew you lost a child…I can’t even process how the world works. I have no words. I really don’t. I would say I’m sorry for your loss, but what do those words even mean… like, nothing. I am thinking there is a movie that should be made out of your book. Not kidding.

I think it should be purchased by hospitals around the country with big pediatric cardiac units and given out to their patients.

The American Heart Association should be promoting it on their social media."
"I first want to say that I was incredibly moved by your book and found reading it deeply meaningful. I cried several times at points that would be expected and points where I wasn’t expecting to. I didn’t know almost everything that was written in this book, and I’m very happy you created this. If nothing else, I think that this was an incredibly important document to create. Mission success already.

However, I also found this an incredibly good story. Unexpectedly exciting, with interesting and truly unique nuggets. Many high-performance professionals would be interested in the rarely discussed $#^%show behind the scenes of an extremely high-performing individual. That was the core of Obama’s recent book – where he discussed his political views, but more importantly the ins and outs of his actual life. I see the parallels with your book here.

I think Patrik Rothfuss describes writing more like gardening – in that you sculpt and create and have some described writing as something that most people see as something like being an architect (creating a template, filling it in, knowing the ending before it’s started). However, Rothfuss ideas of where things are heading but ultimately much of the good stuff grows during the process."
